Keeping our customers supplied with water bottles is a year-round business these days. Gone are times of heavy summer dependency.
Enlightened attitudes towards hydration, health and wellbeing, the environment, brand enhancement and re-sale revenue generation …… all feature in ensuring water bottle decisions are no longer weather obsessed.
Nevertheless, as a leading schools supplier, September and schools return is always an especially busy period for us.
Firstly we have to despatch bottles ordered at the end of last term but deliverable only when doors re-open to receive them.
Secondly, many schools re-order water bottles in the new academic year. A proportion will be new customers, which means providing visuals on how our bottle will look with their logo. A service we gladly provide free of charge.
Finally we have our returning customers, fantastically loyal, re-ordering on-line, contacting us by e-mail or telephoning us with their repeat orders. No problem, we genuinely love hearing from them (hang on, there goes the phone again).
You see, whilst we’re enlightened enough to lead the field in many initiatives (see our 'hands free closures' video, or google 'HydraChill 'some time), we’re also old fashioned enough to believe that people still buy from people. So if our service is as good as our product, customers (people) will like dealing with us and return. Which is the most sustainable way for a business to grow.
So as a personal service we e-mail our school customers in early September, individually not via a packaged programme, reminding them how easy it is to place their re-orders with us, with their records on file. We encourage them to contact us personally, such as Margaret at admin or Mario at sales, providing individual contact details.
Except this year, our esteemed colleague Mario and his lovely new bride Debbie are currently savouring the delights of an Italian marriage and honeymoon. So if you read this blog before you receive our e-mail, you’ll appreciate why. Whilst we’d like you to share in extending congratulations to the happy couple, we won’t be requesting anybody to ring Mario until his return this weekend, we promise Debbie!
